-Abbledeen Soloman, 2004

The Agriculture and Aquaculture Committee (AACom) is a Ministerial Committee of the Democratic Federation of Exturbon. Its main duty is to advice the Central Ministry on matters pertaining to agriculture, fisheries and food production as a whole. In 2031, it was also granted the power to enforce standards and publish recommendation regarding agriculture and aquaculture, although the power to turn said recommendation into regulatory law remains with the Central Ministry.

The AACom works closely with the Environmental Affairs Committee regarding matters that pertain to the environment as a whole, such as land and resource use.

History

The Committee was among the first few committees formed during the tenure of the 1st Central Ministry. It was formed to aid Central Ministers in managing Exturbon's sizeable food production industry.

In 2031, after the Paso Pesticide Scandal, the Central Ministry and The People passed a bill that gave the AACom the necessary resources and regulatory powers to directly enforce regulations across the federation.

From the establishment of the AACom to 2035, Abbledeen Soloman served as the AACom's Chief Executive. He is widely considered to have fulfilled this role well, pushing the Central Ministry regarding to act on urgent matters when it mattered, and notably championing the successful modernisation of the federation's fishing industry.

In 2035, Abbledeen Soloman resigned from his position, citing his age as the reason, and recommended Johannes Rye as his successor. Johannes Rye was unanimously appointed as the new Chief Executive of the AACom by the 8th Central Ministry.
